Welcome to DG Play Hour!

DG Play Hour is a playgroup meant for parents and caregivers and their little ones! Connect and find support with others in the thick of the little years while your kid(s) play and socialize in a safe environment. Each session meets from 9-10 AM every other Tuesday during the school year.

There is NO cost to attend–this playgroup is FREE! Held inside Divine Grace’s school gym, DG Play Hour is open to church members, school families, their friends and family, and the local community.

A drinking fountain, bathrooms, and changing tables are available. If Divine Grace Lutheran School is closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies, DG Play Hour will also be cancelled.

Please enter through the set of four main school doors, and if no one is there to let you in, please ring the doorbell found to the right of the doors.

This group is intended for infants & toddlers up to 4 years. Older siblings are welcome to attend if necessary–we ask that older children join in with care and help maintain a safe and toddler-friendly environment.

ALL toys are disinfected after each Play Hour session using a hypochlorous acid solution–a powerful yet completely non-toxic and rinse-free antimicrobial compound that our bodies produce naturally in our white blood cells to fight infections.

If at any time you have ideas, feedback, or questions, please reach out to Nicole Giroux

Safety & Care Guidelines

In order for DG Play Hour to be enjoyable for all, please respect the following:

Supervision

–Parents and caregivers must be present with their child(ren) the entire hour.

Older Siblings

–Older siblings are welcome, but are asked to play gently and appropriately with younger children in mind.

–If bringing older children regularly, feel free to bring quiet activities to help them stay engaged.

Health & Cleanliness

–Please stay home if you or any of your children are ill (fever, heavily running nose, vomiting, contagious symptoms, etc.).

–Please use the changing tables in the school bathrooms to change diapers.

–Please have your child wash or wipe their hands with a disposable wipe before returning to play after eating.

Snacks & Allergies

–Please try your best to eat before or after Play Hour. While snacks are not forbidden, they can be very distracting and we ask that you go off to the side if your child needs a snack during Play Hour.

–Please check with other adults before sharing food to prevent allergic reactions.

Space Respect

–The gym is used by the school throughout the year for indoor recess on poor weather days, a variety of sports practices and games, and special events like school plays and talent shows, and while every effort is made to keep the space as safe and clean as possible for our Play Hour friends, sometimes the gym will be partially set up for these other uses when Play Hour is scheduled. (Think: volleyball net, chairs for sports team benches, props for school play.)

–Encourage children to take turns, use kind hands, and respect others’ space.
